Gran Kaz Supports Cancer Survivors and Families with Donation to Cancer Concern Association
On Monday, 30th December 2024, Gran Kaz continued its "10 for 10" campaign with a heartfelt donation to Cancer Concern Association of Seychelles at Kenwyn House in Victoria. This meaningful gesture underscored Gran Kaz’s commitment to standing alongside cancer survivors and supporting families who have lost loved ones to this devastating disease.
Cancer touches everyone in some way, whether through a family member, a friend, or an acquaintance. Acknowledging this universal impact, Gran Kaz’s donation aims to assist Cancer Concern in expanding its vital services, which include emotional and practical support for survivors and grieving families.
Speaking at the handover, Gran Kaz PR Manager Shama Amesbury said,
“Cancer does not discriminate; it touches all of us in some way or other. Many of us have experienced its devastating effects first-hand—either through our own battles, by walking alongside a loved one as they fought, or through the sorrow of losing someone dear to us. By supporting Cancer Concern, we hope to contribute to a network of care that ensures no one feels alone in this journey.”
Focusing on People: Supporting Survivors and Families
Cancer Concern plays a crucial role in offering both emotional and practical support to individuals who are navigating the aftermath of cancer, whether as survivors or family members who have been impacted by loss. Chairperson of the Cancer Concern Association, Mrs. Dinaz van der Lans thanked Gran Kaz profusely for the contribution saying,
“This donation will go towards our Hope for Kids Project which aims at supporting children who have lost a loved one to cancer, through workshops, activities, and programmes that will help them learn how to cope with the loss and the grief.”
