Gran Kaz shows appreciation for the Police Department

Gran Kaz shows appreciation for the Police Department - helping them honour long service retirees.

Over 23 Police officers recently retired and were hosted to a thank you lunch at Espace Café.

Amongst those being honoured were Ms. Laura Morel and Chief Superintendent Philip Cecile, both  with over 45 years on the force.

Speaking at the event Commissioner of Police, Mr Ted Barbe, thanked the officers for their hard work and dedication over all these years, and wished them all the very best as they head into the next chapter of their lives.

The event, which took place at Espace Building on Monday, was made possible by a donation from Gran Kaz.

PR and Communications Manager at Gran Kaz Ms. Shama Amesbury tell us it felt only natural for them to extend this support.

“We have a good working relationship with the Seychelles Police. They’ve assisted us in the past with many things, from our Christmas Lightshow, to handling unruly customers and keeping the peace inside our establishment. In return, we’ve assisted them wherever possible in their investigations, through access to our CCTV footage, etc. So naturally when they reached out to us seeking some financial support to honour these long service officers, we did not hesitate.”

PR and Communications Manager of the Seychelles Police Force, Mr. Jean Toussaint, on behalf of the organising committee said:

“We thank Gran Kaz for their generosity in this moment, we are very proud to honour these retirees and we are grateful to Gran Kaz for their support which made it possible for us to do so.
