development of swimming in Seychelles

Gran Kaz invests in the development of swimming in Seychelles.

Last month, Gran Kaz assisted a coach from Mahe Skimmers to go on the Level 1 to Level 4 Coaching Courses hosted by the American Swimming Coach Association in collaboration with the United Emirates Swimming Federation. The Course was held in Dubai, from the 20th to the 25th of October.

The Course which consisted of ….  Was attended by Sir Barnsley Albert, Local Coach and member of the Mahe Skimmers.

We spoke to Sir Barnsley about the experience and how he believes this will improve the quality of local swimmers when coached for competitions.

Gran Kaz tells us they are constantly looking at ways to assist at Grass Roots level – and this was a perfect opportunity.

“In order to help develop the competencies of our young swimmers, we need to provide them with a great foundation. Developing the skills of coaches in turn develops the skills of the swimmer. We were glad to be able to help build capacity in this way.”  Says Shama Amesbury, PR and Communications Manager at Gran Kaz.
