Gran Kaz embodies the Spirit of Giving!

Gran Kaz has made a donation of school items to a group of 50 youngsters from Bel Ombre.

The items which consisted of school bags, lunch boxes and bottles as well as stationary, were handed over to the children aged between 4 and 7 years, at the Christmas party organised for them by the District Administration on Friday 22nd December.

In the past, Gran Kaz has been very active in supporting schools in its community.

We have assisted a number of schools financially as well as in kind. For example, we gave Bel Eau School a donation to help them rebuild their library, but even beyond the financial support, our staff of their own volition volunteered to go there and help them repair and repaint their playground. It was touching for us to see the dedication and commitment at such a level to give back to the community. And this has inspired us to do even more, and keep helping in whatever way we can.

For Gran Kaz giving back to the community goes beyond obligation, it’s a matter of wanting to make an actual difference in the society.

Naturally, we entered the Bel Ombre Community with the same principles at heart, so when District Administrator, Ms. Louise contacted us to see if we would be willing to help them out, there wasn’t even a moment of hesitation.

The District Administration organises a Christmas Party for young children within the community every year. This year they’re emphasizing on getting vulnerable children to participate and gift them all their stationaries and school items as well.

For us this was perfect, we loved the idea of giving the children something useful, it may not seem important to us as adults, but for a child something as simple as having a new bag, can make them happy to go to school, and a positive attitude towards education and learning, we believe, is the key to building successful adults.
